"You miss 100% of the shots you don't take."
—Michael Scott
HELLO!
I'm a UK based photographer and cinematographer. I was originally born in the motherland of Kenya but moved to the UK when I was 10 years old. Now 20 years down the line, here we are about to start a lovely little adventure together.
I am an only child so I'm in the beginning stages of figuring out how to share life and things with my loving wife of 2 years and a newborn bundle of joy. One thing I have learnt is that, this sharing life is not as easy it looks. I have found a new respect for siblings who've spent many years growing up in the same household.
My ideal day consists of watching re-runs of 24 and sipping on a glass of Fanta Twist.
Quick Facts About Me:
- I love and live for Jesus in everything I do.
- I LOVE winter (Canada would be my ideal country to work and live in)
- I am an introvert until I get comfortable around you (then I'm just a big weirdo)
- I have a bachelor's degree in Psychology and Counselling (which means before you ask, YES, I can read your mind)

My Lens Journey!!
I think I stumbled upon my love for photography and cinematography by a happy and coincidence accident. From the age of 20, I used to record lots of videos of myself (on an iPhone 5) acting out various movie scenes, playing various characters, editing them and sending them to friends for a bit of a laugh (my favourite to this day was my rendition of Romeo and Juliet, if they were African American. That video will stay hidden for eternity).
It was only until late 2020 when a friend of mine lent me his DSLR camera (Canon EOS 80D) to take a few pictures. This is the time I discovered a whole new world of "WHAT ON EARTH DO ALL THESE BUTTONS DO?" What is ISO? What does F5.6 mean? Do I use M or SCN or C1 or P or Av? Wait...AF? Are they allowed to put that on a camera? Does it mean the same thing I'm thinking about?
YOUTUBE here I come. Never underestimate the power of youtube. I think I spent a good 3 days watching all of Peter Mckinnon's videos and saying to myself...I want to be like this guy when I grow up. I remember something he said that will always stick with me, 'Done is Better Than Perfect.' This is when I decided to Do something about my photography and get it Done.
Fast forward 5 months later, I saved up some cash money dollar and bought my first DSLR camera (Canon 90D). My photography/cinematography life has never been the same again since. My wife encouraged me to start my first portrait shoot...she was my canvas...and the rest, well the rest is history as one would say. This catapulted my photography and cinematography business to a whole new dimension I never really imagined.
